County Assessor - Burt Garfield
Burt Garfield brings 30 years of experience to the Assessor’s Office, including corporate leadership, small business ownership, and public service. His career includes roles at organizations such as American Express, Discover Card, Zions Bank, and Franklin Covey. Since 2010, Burt has been a key member of the Utah County Assessor’s Office, start as a part-time data analyst and rising to Chief Deputy Assessor in 2015. In 2023, he was first elected Assessor. Burt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Brigham Young University and a Master’s degree in Industrial Administration from Purdue University
